ทำแพนเค้กไปกับน้องงูเขียวใน MV เพลง Harmony Hall จาก Vampire Weekend

หลังจากเฉลยแล้วว่าอัลบั้มใหม่จะมีชื่อว่า Father of the Bride เหล่า Vampire Weekend ทั้งสามก็ได้ปล่อยเพลงใหม่ฟังเพลินออกมาสองเพลงคือ Harmony Hall กับ 2021 ตอนเดือนมกราคม ซึ่งเกือบหนึ่งเดือนต่อมา mv เพลง Harmony Hall ก็ได้ฤกษ์ปล่อยออกมาแล้ว โดย mv นี้กำกับโดย Emmett Malloy ผู้กำกับ mv เพลง Giving Up The Gun และ Holiday ของวง ซึ่งผู้คนที่มาวุ่นวายใน mv ประกอบไปด้วย Jonah Hill นักแสดงชาวอเมริกัน, Ariel Rechtshaid โปรดิวเซอร์ของวง, Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Chris Tomson (มือกลอง), Chris Baio (มือเบส) และ Ezra Koenig (นักร้องนำ) ที่มาทำมื้อเช้า ส่วน Danielle Haim (วง Haim) ก็มาร่วมเต้นโยกหัวแบบสุดเหวี่ยง (จริง ๆ นะ) โดยเจ้างูเขียวใน mv มาจากในเนื้อเพลงที่พูดถึง wicked snake ที่อาศัยใน harmony hall ส่วนเนื้อเรื่องและโทนภาพก็เหมือนกำลังนั่งดู mv ยุค 90s อยู่ เรื่องตลกคือ พวกเขาไปถ่ายทำฉากที่ใช้เคาน์เตอร์ครัวกันในห้างซึ่งยังคงเปิดให้บริการระหว่างถ่ายทำ ทำให้ผู้คนที่เดินผ่านไปมาก็มีงงกันไปเล็กน้อย
เพลงนี้ดูเหมือนจะซอฟต์ลงกว่าอัลบั้มที่ผ่านมาของ Vampire Weekend กับไลน์เกากีตาร์โปร่งที่วิ่งขึ้นลงคล้าย ๆ ไลน์เปียโนยุค baroque ในช่วงอินโทรและเวิร์ส ก่อนจะคั่นกลางด้วยเสียงกลองเพอร์คัสชั่นบวกกับไลน์เบสที่ล้อกับเมโลดี้ร้อง ก่อนจะกลับเข้าท่อนฮุกที่เปียโนกับเบสมาร่วมสร้างความสนุกสนาน เนื้อเพลงพูดถึงความสิ้นหวังขัดกับดนตรีชิว ๆ อย่างท่อน ‘I don’t wanna live like this but I don’t wanna die’ ซึ่งท่อนนี้ก็ปรากฎอยู่ในเพลง Finger Back ในอัลบั้มล่าสุดของพวกเขาด้วย นอกจากนี้ Rostam Batmanglij มือกีตาร์ที่ออกไปแล้วที่หลาย ๆ คนคิดถึงก็ยังคงปรากฏชื่ออยู่ในเครดิตเพลง
